Biography for Chris Sherwin CFP®
For Chris, helping people make the most of the financial assets has been his passion for almost 10 years. Chris enjoys guiding his clients as they implement strategies to meeting their financial goals. As a trusted advisor, Chris uses the combined talents of six CPAs, two attorneys, one CLU, one CFA and two CFP®s to create and manage his clients financial plans, minimize their taxes, increase their savings, fee-based asset management and reviewing his estate issues to address each and every hole that could sink their financial ship.
His clients consist of retired individuals, 401(k) participants, small business owners, business executives, and hard-working families. Chris’s minimum account is $100,000 for new clients, with some exceptions for referrals and clients that work with him on a flat fee.
The CFP Board’s Standards of Professional Conduct, which Chris adheres to in his everyday business life, is world-renowned. Because of this, Chris decided to take the most rigorous financial planning credentialing process that is valid, reliable and legally defensible which resulted in the professional Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation. Concurrent with his CFP® credentialing process, Chris earned his MBA in Financial Planning from California Lutheran University. The MBA studies prepared Chris to better comprehend the complexities that are involved in business owner and family planning issues.
Chris graduated from Pepperdine University, in Malibu, CA in 2002 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Chris entered the Financial Services industry in 2001 as in investment manager with Signature Estate & Investment Advisors (SEIA) in Beverly Hills, CA. At SEIA, Chris was responsible for investment, estate, and insurance planning services to high net worth individuals and business owners.
